Marathon Guide App: Version 2.0 Update
Version 2.0 is here — live pace tracking, AI coaching, and a dynamic nutrition planner that adapts to your training load.
Marathon Guide App: Version 2.0 Update
The wait is over. After months of development, testing, and incorporating your feedback, Version 2.0 of the Marathon Guide App is rolling out. This isn't just a cosmetic refresh — it's a fundamental upgrade to how the app helps you train, race, and recover.
What's New in Version 2.0
🏃 Live Pace Tracking
The new real-time pace engine analyzes your speed as you run, giving you instant feedback on whether you're ahead of, behind, or right on your target splits. No more mental math at aid stations — the app handles it for you.
- Per-kilometer split display with color-coded pace indicators (green/yellow/red)
- Projected finish time that updates dynamically based on your current effort
- Audio alerts when you drift more than 10 seconds off your target pace
🍌 Dynamic Nutrition Planner
One-size-fits-all nutrition plans don't work. The new Dynamic Nutrition feature adjusts your fueling recommendations based on the actual intensity and volume of your training week.
- Had a high-mileage week? The app increases your carbohydrate targets.
- Doing a recovery week? It scales back accordingly.
- Race-week mode activates automatically with a tailored carb-loading schedule.
🤖 Coach AI
Got a question about your training? Ask the Coach. Our AI assistant has been trained on sports science literature and coaching methodologies to give you instant, personalized advice.
- "Should I run today or rest?"
- "How do I adjust my plan after missing a week?"
- "What pace should my tempo runs be at?"
Coach AI considers your training history, current fitness level, and upcoming race schedule when generating answers.
🎨 Redesigned Interface
We've listened to your feedback and rebuilt the interface from the ground up:
- Cleaner navigation with a new bottom tab bar
- Dark mode that's easier on the eyes during early morning runs
- Faster load times and smoother animations throughout the app
- Improved accessibility with larger touch targets and better contrast ratios

What's Coming Next
Version 2.0 is just the beginning. Here's what's on the roadmap:
- Social features — share your training highlights and race results with the community
- Strava & Garmin sync — automatic import of your activities
- Race calendar — discover upcoming events near you with one-tap registration links

Version 2.0 is available as a free update for all existing users. If you haven't tried the app yet, there's never been a better time to start.
